Save the World seeks your understanding and co-operation for its various programs. This understanding can be expressed in terms of your willingness to learn and share your information and your analysis of the situation regarding the cause of poverty and its resolution. We have underlined in our objectives the various methods of interacting with the present situation. Objectives are guides, strategies are our attempts and activities are our methods. At the moment Save the World seeks your participation in terms of donation, contributions of time or money, buying and promoting campaign products.
Nursery Project : Save the World would like to establish and operate a small tree nursery. This nursery will be well-managed by trained experts to produce ethno-botanic treee species. At the moment we are thinking of producing various tree species of about twenty thousand saplings per year.
The cost of operating the nursery will be about Rs. 2,50,000. this cost will cover salaries, production cost and supervision and rent.
Mobile Health Clinic : Save the World has many applications for health related assistance from the remote villages. Save the World has many doctors of many specialties who are willing to undertake health camps away from the city. To conduct a health camp requires medicines, medical accessories and health volunteers. It also requires home visitors. Save the World think it is necessary to be able to serve about five thousand persons every year. This requires your contribution to pay for transport, travel, medical supplies and may be referrals. On an average a health camp in a villagte would cost about Rs.300. per patient.
Seminar And Talk Programs : These programs are important dimensions of Save the World. These programs will popularize our concern with the present situation of the community. These programs will be motivational and will support Save the World activities. The organization of seminars and talk programs will be costly. Such costs will have to cover refreshment of food for the participants, management cost and other supplementary expenses. We feel that a talk program with about fifty participants will cost about Rs. 300. per person. Seminars of about 2 days will cost Rs.600. per participants.
Save the World request your participation in the above ventures as contributor or a planner or a resource person. All these roles are challenging roles and we plan to raise 75% of the cost from you and the remaining balance will be raised by Save the World. (TMS)
